LED Bulb Market Expectation

Now the maximum lumens output of LED is about 161lm/W with Cree chips, and the lighting effect is developing every year with rapid speed, while the lighting efficiency of Edison bulb is 10-18lm/W, Halogen lamp: 15-20lm/W, and, energy saving lamp: 35-60lm/W.

 According to official estimates, there would be more than 30% annual growth for LED each year until 2014. The global market for replacement of all incandescent lamps into LED is $ 640 billion. It is estimated that by December 2010, LED bulbs would reach sales of 20 million. The prices of LED will be decreasing 15-20% every year.

Governments all over the world are promoting LED bulbs and forbidding incandescent bulbs in daily uses, which speed up LED bulbs applications with even faster footstep.
